Olivia Attwood has said infidelity is “not about” the person who has been cheated on, arguing that people who betray their partners often lack morals and self-control.
The former Love Island star made the comments while discussing cheating on her podcast, Olivia’s House, several months after splitting from footballer Bradley Dack.
“People cheat because they have, you know, lax morals, lack self-control,” Attwood said. “Some people are genuinely wired that way. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you weren’t loved.”
Her remarks come after she alleged that Dack had lied to and cheated on her repeatedly during their decade-long relationship. Attwood said in March that the breakdown of the relationship was because of his alleged infidelity.
The couple, who met in 2015, married in 2023 after their relationship was documented in the ITV series Olivia Meets Her Match and Olivia Marries Her Match. They separated earlier this year following what was described at the time as a breach of trust.
Attwood previously said she decided to leave in January after being told about another alleged incident involving Dack and another woman. Dack has been approached for comment on her claims.
Discussing the emotional impact of betrayal, Attwood said the actions of an unfaithful partner should not automatically lead the person who was cheated on to question their own worth.
She has since spoken publicly about trying to move forward, while continuing her work in television, radio and podcasting.
