Scott Wolf has responded to his estranged wife Kelley Wolf’s public apology over the mental health crisis that engulfed their family in summer 2025, leaving five heart emojis beneath her Instagram statement.
Kelley, 49, posted the apology on Friday, August 28, addressing Scott and their other loved ones after what she described as a “nightmare”. She said she had spent the past year working with doctors, therapists and psychologists to understand what had happened.
In the lengthy statement, Kelley said she had been diagnosed with “breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis”. She attributed the episode to a combination of stress, past trauma, hormonal changes, hallucinogens and prescribed medication.
She said she had been unaware of her actions at the time and that the things she had “did, said, wrote and posted” had caused profound harm and were not based in truth or reality.
Addressing Scott directly, Kelley wrote: “My husband of 20 years was taken through a nightmare that wouldn’t even fly in a movie script; it was so brutal.” She also apologised to their children, family, friends and the community in Park City, Utah.
Scott, 58, responded to the post with five heart emojis. The actor, known for Party of Five and Nancy Drew, had not previously commented publicly on Kelley’s apology or diagnosis.
The couple announced their separation in June 2025 after 21 years of marriage. They later appeared to take steps towards reconciliation, reuniting for a family outing with their three children in February.
