Richarlison has agreed personal terms with Trabzonspor and given the go-ahead for a move from Tottenham, with the Turkish club reportedly offering him a salary three times higher than his current earnings.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said the Brazil international had reached an agreement over his wages with Trabzonspor, who have made the 29-year-old their priority attacking target.
However, the transfer is not yet complete. Tottenham have rejected two offers from the Turkish side, worth £15 million and £20 million, with Trabzonspor expected to return with an improved proposal.
Trabzonspor must convince Tottenham to sell Richarlison
Romano said on social media: “BREAKING: Richarlison has agreed to join Trabzonspor with salary agreed, x3 more than what he currently earns at Tottenham.”
The agreement with the player represents a significant step forward for Trabzonspor, but Spurs remain to be convinced over the valuation of a forward whose contract runs until 2027, with the option of an additional year.
Richarlison is understood to be keen on the move, but the Turkish club will need to reach an agreement with Tottenham before the deal can be finalised.
Turkey’s summer transfer window remains open until Friday, September 4, giving Trabzonspor limited time to make a third attempt to secure the Brazilian’s signature.
Richarlison salary could reach £270,000 a week
Richarlison is reported to earn about £90,000 a week at Tottenham, excluding bonuses. A package worth three times that figure would put his potential Trabzonspor salary at roughly £270,000 a week.
Such an agreement would make him one of the highest-paid players in Turkish football and underline the club’s ambition to recruit an established Premier League name.
Trabzonspor have already invested heavily in their squad and are determined to add Richarlison before the Turkish transfer deadline, but Tottenham’s response to any new offer will determine whether the proposed move goes ahead.
