Several days later, Ivy was taken to Poole Hospital after becoming unwell. She suffered vomiting, abdominal pain, shaking and high temperatures, while her condition has continued to fluctuate. Doctors have since found that the infection has spread to her right kidney.…
Airport security measures introduced after the September 11 attacks are beginning to loosen, with some travellers once again allowed to pass through security to meet friends and relatives at the gate. The changes, announced as the United States marks the 25th anniversary of the attacks, include a new Transportation Security Administration (TSA) scheme allowing approved members of trusted-traveller programmes to enter secure airport areas without holding a boarding pass. Known as Gateside by TSA PreCheck, the free service has been introduced at 13 airports, including Los Angeles International, Dallas-Fort Worth, Detroit Metropolitan, Salt Lake City and Harry Reid International in…

The 54-year-old presenter travelled to the Indonesian island for a yoga and Pilates break, telling followers she had used the trip to reset as she prepared to return home. Sharing a series of photographs from the retreat, including bikini pictures with friends, Snowdon said wellness was not about striving for an idealised version of herself. “Wellness, for me, has never been about perfection. It’s about connection,” she wrote. She said the…

The return was greeted by a loud response from the crowd. Florida went on to defeat Florida Atlantic 66-21 in the first game under new head coach Jon Sumrall. The match was also the 19th consecutive sell-out at the stadium, known to…

Vanessa Minter, the American Airlines reservations agent who answered Betty Ong’s first call from a hijacked aircraft on September 11, 2001, has met the flight attendant’s family 25 years after the attacks. Ong was working aboard American Airlines Flight 11, travelling from Boston to Los Angeles, when she contacted the company’s reservations centre in Cary, North Carolina. Manufacturing and industrial technology have entered a new phase for venture capital, according to Vaughn Crowe, co-founder of NVP Capital, as supply-chain disruption, geopolitical tensions and artificial intelligence draw investors towards the physical economy. Crowe, who grew up in Newark, New Jersey, has invested in industrial businesses since NVP was established in 2020. The firm has backed companies spanning rare-earth materials, robotics, energy, logistics and manufacturing software. He said the investment case became clearer during the Covid-19 pandemic, when shortages and delays exposed the fragility of global supply chains. “COVID put a spotlight on supply chain, travel, logistics, energy, power,”…

Ant McPartlin said: “If anyone from the British Museum is watching this podcast in their downtime… I’d like to jump the queue.” Declan Donnelly replied: “I’m not sure about TV presenters skipping queues. I…
Liverpool’s hopes of signing Michael Olise in the January 2027 transfer window have been dismissed, with Bayern Munich insider Christian Falk insisting there is no prospect of the France international leaving the Bundesliga champions mid-season. Olise has emerged as one of Europe’s most influential wide players since joining Bayern from Crystal Palace in July 2024. His form has fuelled speculation that Liverpool could view him as a long-term successor to Mohamed Salah on the right side of their attack. Michael Olise Liverpool transfer hopes ruled out Falk said Bayern would not consider selling the 24-year-old while they are pursuing success…
