Looksmaxxing livestreamer Braden Peters, known online as Clavicular, has pleaded not guilty to a rape charge involving a 17-year-old girl at his family’s home in Chatham, Massachusetts.
Peters, 20, is accused of giving the girl alcohol until she was drunk before sexually assaulting her during a visit to Cape Cod in May 2025. His lawyers say the encounter was consensual.
He appeared at Orleans District Court wearing a dark suit and walking a barking dog on a lead. Peters did not answer reporters’ questions and spoke only to the dog as he entered the courthouse.
Under the terms of his bail, set at US$10,000, he has surrendered his passport and agreed not to contact the woman or post about her.
One of his lawyers, David Meier, said Peters and the accuser had been involved in a “professional and personal relationship” for almost a year.
“At no time did the complainant report anything to the police – or to anyone – because there was nothing to report,” Mr Meier said.
The woman told police that Peters had paid her to appear in his looksmaxxing videos. She said he gave her two or three shots of vodka at the family home, then livestreamed himself kissing her while she was drunk.
She alleged that, after waking the following morning, she found Peters raping her. She also described the allegation in a lawsuit filed in Florida in April, in which she accused Peters of injecting her with a fat-dissolving substance during a livestream without her consent.
Peters’s lawyers have described that lawsuit as a “publicity grab”.
Peters has about one million followers on Instagram. His livestreams include rating people’s looks and discussing ways to alter appearance, including surgery and drug use.
The Massachusetts case is the latest legal matter involving the influencer. Earlier this year, a Florida misdemeanour battery charge was dropped after police said he had provoked a fight between two women and posted a video of it online.
In a separate Florida case this year, Peters was sentenced to probation after pleading no contest to a charge of firing a gun in public.
