Georgina Rodríguez brought a mix of accessible fashion and eye-watering luxury to the Venice Film Festival on Thursday, stepping out in an Intimissimi ensemble before adding a £74,000 Hermès Birkin to the look.
The newlywed influencer, 32, arrived for the second day of the festival in a brown lace balconette bra, priced at £87, beneath a matching £110 satin shirt from the Italian lingerie brand.
She paired the co-ordinating pieces with crisp white jeans, allowing a glimpse of the bra to show beneath the open shirt. The understated high-street styling contrasted sharply with the crocodile Birkin bag carried on her arm.
Rodríguez made the appearance alone after marrying Cristiano Ronaldo in a private legal ceremony in Portugal last month. The couple exchanged vows in the living room of their home, with their children present.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez married on August 11, exactly ten years after they first met at the Gucci store in Madrid, where she was working as a shop assistant. They chose Gucci outfits for the ceremony as a tribute to the place where their relationship began.
The footballer later confirmed the marriage by sharing a photograph of their wedding bands on Instagram, captioned simply: “C❤️G.”
Speaking to Vogue, Rodríguez said the couple had deliberately opted for an intimate ceremony at home rather than the grand celebration she had imagined as a child.
“We’ve chosen to do it in the living room of our house here where we have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and where we live the reality of our lives,” she said.
She added that she wanted the children to look back on the setting fondly, saying: “In 30 years’ time I want the children to think, something wonderful happened at this table – the wedding vows of our parents.”
Rodríguez has said that a larger wedding with family and friends could take place in the future. For her appearance at the Venice Film Festival, however, the combination of Intimissimi separates and a rare designer accessory offered a more restrained display of her fashion credentials.
