Production has begun on season two of Heated Rivalry, with Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie returning as hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov.
The new series will continue the story of the pair, who have been secretly involved for a decade. Ilya is keen to make their relationship public, while Shane fears that doing so could put their careers at risk.
Heated Rivalry season two is expected to draw primarily on The Long Game, the sixth book in Rachel Reid’s Game Changers series. The novel follows Shane and Ilya as they navigate the consequences of their long-hidden relationship.
Creator Jacob Tierney has also confirmed that material from Role Model, the fifth book in the series, will be included. Recent casting announcements indicate that Tough Guy, the third novel, will also feature in the upcoming season.
Several new actors have joined the cast, while many performers from the first season have confirmed their return. The second season of Heated Rivalry is expected to premiere in April 2027.
