The 35-year-old reality television star, who was paired with Danny Hewitt on the Channel Nine series, made an appeal to viewers in a video filmed from her car and urged them to remember that the programme was “not that deep”. She later said she accepted responsibility for the messages, telling Nine that she took accountability for the “vile stuff” she had written, while claiming that other cast members had also been involved in the dispute.
