A man with a butcher knife has been arrested after allegedly disrupting filming on the Brooklyn set of Michael B. Jordan’s crime drama, “Miami Vice ’85”.
The NYPD said Alex Perez, 23, was allegedly running across the set at about 11pm on Friday night before brandishing the knife and threatening a member of the production staff.
Footage from the scene shows Perez being escorted away by a staff member before allegedly removing the large knife from a pocket in his sweatshirt.
Police arrested him at 11.17pm. The NYPD said Perez allegedly directed a racial slur at the production worker while he was being handcuffed.
Perez has been charged with menacing with a weapon in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
He has five previous arrests for alleged gang-related activity, assault with a firearm and burglary, among other offences.
