The body of a 60-year-old man from East Geelong has been found after a search began when his kayak was discovered empty in Limeburners Bay, Corio.
The multi-agency operation was launched at about 1.30pm on Saturday, involving Victoria Police, Water Police and the Air Wing, along with Marine Search and Rescue and SES volunteers.
The man was found in nearby waters off Avalon Rd, Avalon, at about 6.50pm.
Police said his death was not being treated as suspicious. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
