Olivier Martinez was photographed smoking outside court as his custody dispute with Halle Berry continued, with the former couple appearing on opposite sides of a legal battle involving their 13-year-old son, Maceo.
Martinez was seen wearing sunglasses and smoking during a break on Monday. Berry, meanwhile, appeared cheerful as she left court holding hands with her boyfriend, Van Hunt.
The couple’s son gave sealed testimony during the hearing. The judge ordered both parents to leave the room while he was giving evidence.
The proceedings follow allegations from Martinez that Berry attacked and choked Maceo during an argument over a virtual-reality game. Berry has denied the accusations.
A judge previously granted Martinez a temporary restraining order against Berry, limiting the contact she could have with their son.
Martinez is seeking sole custody of Maceo, while Berry is asking the court to restore the arrangement that had previously been in place.
