San Mateo County sheriff’s deputy Steven Romero has been charged with allegedly abusing his five-year-old son at the family home, according to court documents.
The allegations concern conduct said to have taken place at Romero’s residence in California. The case was reported after KTVU obtained the court records.
Romero is accused of child abuse, but the allegations have not been tested at trial. A charge is not a finding of guilt, and Romero has not been convicted of an offence.
