Olivia Attwood’s claim to have founded her new drinks brand has been called into question after records showed that Savano evolved from an established cocktail business launched several years before her involvement.
The former Love Island star promoted the canned cocktail range from the rooftop of her South London penthouse, presenting Savano as a major new venture and describing it as her “baby”.
However, the brand’s origins can be traced to Tom Savano, a cocktail company founded by James Kerslake in 2018. The business initially sold pre-mixed bottled cocktails before expanding into canned drinks.
Trade reports show that Tom Savano had already secured listings with retailers and travel companies, including Sainsbury’s, Virgin Atlantic, Eurostar and British Airways, before it was acquired by drinks group Babco International in March 2026.
Olivia Attwood’s Savano partnership
Babco subsequently relaunched the business under the simplified name Savano in partnership with Attwood. The new range includes Hot Honey Margarita, Caipirinha and Moscow Mule cocktails, sold through selected Sainsbury’s stores, Amazon and the brand’s own website.
Babco’s launch material describes Savano as a brand “developed in partnership” with Attwood, while the company’s website identifies her as its founder. Earlier descriptions of Tom Savano, meanwhile, name Kerslake as the founder of the original cocktail business.
The rebrand has given Attwood a prominent role as the face of the company, with the television personality using her social media following to promote the products and host a launch event at her London home.
The development raises questions over how her role should be described: while Attwood appears to have helped reshape and relaunch the range, the drinks business and its products predate her partnership by several years.
