Stacey Solomon has said it feels “strange” waking up in a new home after she and Joe Swash moved out of their £1.3 million Essex property, Pickle Cottage.
The couple, who had lived at the Tudor-style house since 2021, revealed this week that they had begun a new chapter elsewhere after finding a home with more land for their family and animals.
Solomon and Swash are understood to have shared a first glimpse of the new property, which they have dubbed the “Pickle Project”. The presenter has also indicated that the house will require work, giving her another renovation project after documenting the transformation of Pickle Cottage.
In a video shared on social media, Solomon said the move had been a major decision because the property held so many memories for the family. She and Swash married at the house in 2022, while their daughters Rose and Belle were born there.
The new home is further out and is expected to give the family additional space to grow vegetables and rescue more animals. Solomon has previously spoken about wanting room for a larger garden and the possibility of bringing horses and ponies back into their lives.
The couple’s announcement brought an end to five years at Pickle Cottage, which became familiar to followers as Solomon shared its decorations, renovations and grounds online.
