His pace is already causing opponents concern before he has even begun to run at them, while his recent displays have pointed to a renewed confidence under Eddie Howe.
Wissa has also played an important role in Newcastle’s progress, even if his contribution has received less attention than that of the club’s other forwards. His work through the middle and relentless application have helped strengthen the attack, with his influence regarded as significant enough to threaten Nick Woltemade’s place in the side.
