Two people were stabbed multiple times during an altercation in Sunnyvale, California, late on Sunday, September 6, with the attacker fleeing before officers arrived.
The incident was reported at about 11.30pm near the junction of San Juan Drive and Blythe Avenue, close to San Miguel Elementary School, according to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
The victims called 911 and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Police said the stabbing followed an altercation, but have not disclosed what led to the confrontation or whether the victims knew the attacker.
No arrests had been made by Monday morning. Detectives were working to identify the suspect, who left the scene after the attack.
