Wisconsin’s governor candidates have entered the final stretch of the election campaign, with Democrat Tony Evers and Republican challenger Tim Michels making their case to voters on Labor Day.
The FOX6 interview focused on issues affecting working people, including wages, employment and the future of organised labour in the state.
Both candidates were also questioned about Act 10, the 2011 law that sharply limited collective bargaining rights for most public-sector employees. The legislation remains one of Wisconsin’s most divisive political issues.
Labor Day traditionally marks the start of the final sprint to election day, putting renewed attention on the candidates’ competing approaches to work and pay as they seek support across the state.
