A window was smashed during an early-morning break-in at Chez Poulet in Chicago’s Bucktown neighbourhood, with police saying the intruders failed to take any money or other proceeds.
The incident happened at about 4.17am on Saturday at the French rotisserie restaurant and wine shop on North Western Avenue.
Chicago Police said unidentified offenders got out of a black SUV and damaged the front window before entering the premises. No injuries were reported.
Area Five detectives are investigating the burglary. Police have not announced any arrests.
Chez Poulet said it would remain open for business. In a post on Instagram, the restaurant wrote: “Got robbed last night but that won’t stop us from serving our special sandwich of the day- JAMBON BEURRE!!”
