A child reported missing in north Harris County, Texas, was found safe on Saturday morning after authorities raised concerns about his welfare because he has autism.
Harris County Precinct 4 constables said the child had been reported missing from Woodbark Road in Spring, near Champion Forest Drive and Louetta Road.
He was later located and was in good health, according to authorities at the scene. Officials said he had gone to an event without telling his caretaker.
The circumstances prompted an urgent search in the area, with authorities highlighting the additional safety concerns linked to his diagnosis.
