Govee has unveiled a new ceiling light and two smart LED strips at IFA 2026, including products that adjust their output according to daylight, weather conditions and written prompts.
The Govee Sky Ceiling Light is designed to compensate for a lack of natural light, using what the company calls “vitality spectrum technology”. The firm says the system can help users remain alert during darker days by producing wavelengths associated with natural daylight.
Its colour temperature can be adjusted from 1,000K to 10,000K, while the light produces up to 7,000 lumens of white light. Through Govee’s DaySync feature, the accompanying app uses the time of day and local weather data to alter the lighting automatically.
The ceiling light is priced at 399 US dollars. It represents the latest expansion of Govee’s growing range of ceiling products, following an earlier model focused on creating decorative, art-inspired lighting effects.
Govee’s new AI lighting tools
For more colourful scenes, the Govee COB Strip Light 2 Pro allows users to describe the atmosphere they want in a written prompt. Govee’s AI Lighting Bot 2.0 then generates a sequence intended to match the requested setting.
The strip uses chip-on-board LEDs, which Govee says provide flicker-free illumination. It contains 1,344 LEDs per metre and uses a triple-layer groove design to produce consistent results in both single-colour and dynamic modes.
The strip offers the same 1,000K to 10,000K colour-temperature range as the Sky Ceiling Light. Govee’s LumiBlend+ colour engine is intended to improve colour accuracy across the range of effects.
The Strip Light 2 Pro costs 169 US dollars for a five-metre length. A standard Govee COB Strip Light 2 will also be sold for 99 US dollars, giving buyers a cheaper alternative to the flagship model.
The Govee Sky Ceiling Light and COB Strip Light 2 Pro are available from the company’s website and retailers including Amazon. Govee is positioning the launches against established smart-lighting brands such as Philips Hue and GE Cync.
