A 37-year-old man was injured after being struck by a Casselberry police patrol vehicle while crossing a road in a marked pedestrian crossing, Florida Highway Patrol said.
The collision happened at about 7.20am on Friday at the junction of North Winter Park Drive and 7th Street in Casselberry, Florida.
Troopers said the police vehicle was turning left into North Winter Park Drive as the man walked north across the road. The front of the patrol car hit him.
The officer driving the vehicle told investigators they had not seen the pedestrian in the crossing, according to the highway patrol.
The man, who is from nearby Altamonte Springs, was taken to hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation. No further details have been released.
