A Milwaukee police officer was shot in the leg while pursuing a homicide suspect near North 37th Street and West Wright Street on Tuesday evening, 8 September.
A police source told FOX6 that the suspect left a vehicle during the chase and opened fire on the officer. The officer returned fire, striking the suspect in the head.
The suspect died at the scene, according to the source. The officer was taken for medical treatment, although their condition has not been released.
The shooting remains under investigation and further details have yet to be confirmed by the Milwaukee Police Department.
