Milwaukee is set for a warm and largely dry end to the working week before thunderstorms and the possibility of heavy rain move into the area early next week, forecasters say.
FOX6 chief meteorologist Rob Haswell said Friday would be mostly sunny, with temperatures reaching 78F and light south-westerly winds. Conditions will remain mild overnight, with partly cloudy skies and a low of 64F.
A weak cold front is expected to pass through on Saturday, bringing partly sunny skies and a high of around 82F. The front is forecast to carry little moisture, meaning most of the day could stay dry, although an isolated shower or rumble of thunder remains possible, particularly west of Milwaukee.

Sunday is expected to provide the most settled conditions of the weekend, with a cooler high of 72F, lower humidity and partly sunny skies. Temperatures could fall to about 58F overnight.
The more unsettled weather is likely to develop from Sunday night and continue into early Tuesday as a stronger system moves across the region. Showers and thunderstorms are expected on Monday, when temperatures may climb to 76F, with heavy rain and a few stronger storms possible.
Showers will remain possible on Tuesday, alongside a slight chance of thunderstorms, before temperatures reach about 78F. A further chance of showers and thunderstorms is forecast for Wednesday, with a cooler high of 72F.
The National Weather Service is also forecasting a wetter and stormier pattern around Monday, followed by a reduced chance of showers on Tuesday and Wednesday.
