A homicide investigation is under way after a person was found dead at Chandler Creek Park in Round Rock, Texas, on Monday, September 7.
Williamson County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the park area in the 2400 block of Chandler Creek Boulevard at about 10.58am after reports of an injured person. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death has since been treated as a homicide. The identity of the victim has not been released while relatives are being notified.
Investigators are seeking help to identify a suspect described as a Black man with short dreadlocks featuring frosted tips. Surveillance images have reportedly been released as part of the appeal.
Authorities have warned that the man is considered dangerous and urged members of the public not to approach him if they see him. Anyone who recognises the suspect or has information about the killing should call 911 immediately.
The sheriff’s office has also asked people to avoid the 2400 block of Chandler Creek Boulevard while the investigation continues.
