Police in Mountlake Terrace, Washington, are searching for a man accused of inappropriately touching two girls near Mountlake Terrace High School on Thursday, 10 September.
Officers received two reports in quick succession of a man grabbing the girls’ private areas, according to the City of Mountlake Terrace. A further report made later that day concerned a similar incident on Wednesday, 9 September.
Police said the man reportedly approaches young girls and asks for directions to a grocery shop before asking them for a hug.
He has been described as a Hispanic man in his 30s, with a heavier build and short, buzz-cut hair. He was reportedly wearing a blue shirt and khaki shorts.
The incidents have mainly been reported along 44th Avenue West, between 212th Street and the county line. Investigators believe the man may be spending time near the high school.
Mountlake Terrace police said they have not yet been able to identify or contact him. The school has been made aware of the reports and is expected to alert students.
Anyone who recognises the man, has information about the incidents or has encountered him is urged to call 911 immediately.
