Roku has launched its first OLED TVs, with the new Pro Series range available in the US from $999 (£760) for a 55-inch model.
The Roku Pro Series OLED TV is on sale from today through Amazon, with a 65-inch version also offered. Pricing for the larger model has not been disclosed in the announcement.
OLED technology allows each pixel to produce its own light, delivering deeper blacks, stronger contrast and wider viewing angles than conventional LCD televisions. Roku says its Smart Picture Max software automatically adjusts the picture for films, television programmes, games and live events.
The sets have a slim metal bezel and an ultra-thin design, with cable management built into the rear. An Automatic Game Mode is intended to reduce input lag, while the 144Hz refresh rate is designed to support smoother gameplay on compatible consoles and devices.
Roku is also including a backlit remote control with customisable shortcut buttons, Bluetooth headphone support and a feature to help users locate the remote.
A second model, the Roku Pro Series LX OLED TV, is due to arrive in October with prices starting at $1,299 (£988). The company has not announced UK availability or sterling pricing for either range.
