US Marshals are searching for two men wanted over the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man in a Milwaukee alley, after investigators said a supposed meeting to rob a drug dealer was used as a ruse to steal the victim’s gun.
Damarius Twitty-Montgomery and Charles Steward are accused of taking part in the shooting near North 38th Street and Keefe Avenue on 26 September 2025. Both men remain at large and are considered dangerous.
Prosecutors allege that the pair travelled in a white Chevrolet Traverse with the victim, Bryan Jamison, his twin brother and several other people. The group was said to have planned a meeting with a drug dealer, but investigators believe the real intention was to take Jamison’s firearm.
According to court documents, Twitty-Montgomery and Steward got out of the vehicle with Jamison and entered an alley. Surveillance footage is said to show the two men opening fire, with Jamison returning shots before collapsing.
Jamison suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead in hospital. Investigators said his gun was taken and has not been recovered.
Two suspects remain at large
Witnesses helped identify Twitty-Montgomery and Steward, who are both aged 18. Steward is also known as “Chuck”, while Twitty-Montgomery is known as “Tweety”.
Each man faces charges of first-degree reckless homicide as a party to a crime and attempted armed robbery, according to reports on the criminal complaints. The allegations have not been tested in court.
A third man, Devrion Steward, 24, has also been charged in connection with the death. Prosecutors allege he drove the vehicle and was involved in the plan to take Jamison’s gun.
US Marshals warned that the suspects may still have access to firearms. They urged anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact the Milwaukee tip line on 414-297-3707. Tips can be given anonymously.
Charles Steward is described as 5ft 8in tall and weighing about 162lb. Twitty-Montgomery is also 5ft 8in and weighs about 170lb.
