A 68-year-old woman who prompted a Silver Alert in Waukesha, Wisconsin, has been found safe, police said.
Betsy Abts had left Waukesha Memorial Hospital and was reported missing on Friday, September 4. She has early-onset dementia, according to the Waukesha Police Department.
She was last seen shortly before 6pm walking away from the hospital. Police said she was wearing a black sweatshirt, jeans and a walking boot because of a broken ankle.
Abts was described as white, 5ft 8in tall and weighing about 150lb, with blue eyes and straight, shoulder-length brown hair.
Authorities said she had also gone missing several days earlier and was found walking along Interstate 94 in nearby Oconomowoc. The Silver Alert was cancelled after police confirmed she had been located safely.
