Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after the former Conservative minister and Reform UK figure was found dead at her Dartmoor home, with the exact cause of death still unconfirmed.
Ann Widdecombe, the 78-year-old former Conservative minister who went on to become a prominent figure in Reform UK and a well-known television personality, was found dead at her home on Dartmoor yesterday.

A 26-year-old white British man has since been arrested in connection with her death as police pursue a murder investigation.
It is understood that Widdecombe was discovered with a serious head injury and covered in blood by her carer, who was said to be left horrified by what she found. Widdecombe’s official cause of death has not yet been confirmed.
