A juvenile boy has died after a deadly playground shooting at a Phoenix park, with police investigating the circumstances surrounding the overnight attack.
Officers were called to a neighbourhood near 83rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road shortly after midnight on Tuesday, September 8, the Phoenix Police Department said.
They found the boy unresponsive with a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital but was later pronounced dead.
Police have not released the victim’s age or identified any suspect. No arrests had been made as of Tuesday morning, and detectives had not disclosed what led to the shooting.
