A man has died after being shot at a home in Lakeville, Minnesota, with no arrests made as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Officers were called to the 16,200 block of Flagstaff Avenue, near County Road 46, at about 6.25pm on Sunday, 6 September. They found an adult man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Lakeville police, firefighters and Allina Health emergency medical crews provided treatment at the scene before the man was taken by ambulance to Hennepin County Medical Center. He later died from his injuries.
Police have not released the man’s identity. Investigators are working to establish what led to the shooting and how he was wounded, but said the inquiry remained in its early stages.
No one was in custody on Monday morning. Authorities said there was no information to suggest a continuing threat to the public.
