Residents were evacuated after a serious fire broke out in Walthamstow, east London, on Sunday evening.
Around 125 firefighters and 20 fire engines responded to the blaze, which affected a house, several gardens and sheds, and a railway embankment near Vallentin Road and Shernhall Street.
Authorities urged residents to keep their windows and doors closed because of heavy smoke, while drivers were advised to avoid the area. The Weaver Overground line was also partially closed.
Local MP Stella Creasy said the incident involved an electrical fire on the railway lines, describing it as a major emergency with roads closed and people evacuated.
London Fire Brigade received more than 100 emergency calls starting at around 6:30 p.m.
