A woman has died and two others have been injured after a car crashed into a railway support beam in Philadelphia early on Saturday morning.
The vehicle struck the structure near the 3300 block of Girard Avenue at about 3.45am, after the driver apparently lost control.
Three women were inside the car when it crashed. One was taken to hospital, where she later died.
A second woman was reported to be in a critical condition, while the third was described as stable.
The women’s names and ages have not been released. Authorities have not said what caused the driver to lose control.
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
