Jalen Brunson brought his New York Knicks team-mates on stage during the opening monologue of Saturday Night Live’s season premiere. The 30-year-old basketball player told the audience he would answer questions, before the camera turned to Josh Hart, OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and Karl-Anthony Towns sitting together in the crowd. Hart asked Brunson: “Is it true that you took a $113 million pay cut just to resign with the Knicks?” “Yeah, that’s pretty true,” Brunson replied. Hart then followed up: “Wow, so is that money, like, still up for grabs?” The four Knicks players joined Brunson on stage at the…

Many Brisbane players and supporters arrived at Brunswick Street Oval wearing dark sunglasses, as they faced the glare after a long night. Speaking to the crowd, Fagan thanked fans for turning out early and praised his team before making light of the conditions, with temperatures still below 15C. “Thanks for…
Tunisian courts have rejected an appeal against the continued detention of four activists linked to the Global Sumud Flotilla, as relatives warn that the men’s health is deteriorating and their families are struggling to cope. He suspended the strike after 38 days following appeals from lawyers and supporters, but said the decision did not mean he had abandoned his demands. The Court of Appeal in Tunis rejected a challenge to a further four-month extension of pre-trial detention on Wednesday. Ghassan…
